My Joshua is 4 years!

Since James was going to be gone on Joshua's birthday, we decided to celebrate it on Memorial Day. He didn't know the difference. Josh is the cutest little boy and I don't want him to grow up to fast. He is too much fun.
Some quick highlights of this little guy-
-He says the FUNNIEST things.
(The latest is after having a hard time going to the bathroom, he bent over and said, "I hate you, Satan.") I laughed for 5 minutes. As if Satan were the cause of his difficulty on the toilet.
-He keeps me on my toes.
-He just does his thing and doesn't need me to keep him entertained. I love it.
-He gives great big hugs.
-He is the clown of the family.
-Very inquisitive and asks random questions, constantly. I would love to visit his mind for a day and see where it goes!

Still into Lightning McQueen!

We visited my grandma the night of his birthday. She is the greatest.

His first friends party. He loved it.

The cake - Lightning McQueen, of course.

We were planning on a water party doing the slip'n slide, but the dark cloud came just at the start of the party, so I told James he was now going to be the kids play toy and he came through! They chased him to their hearts content with light sabers, water guns and water balloons and loved it.

Getting James with water balloons and water guns

Jumping on the tramp with water balloons was another highlight.

Love you Joshua!

California!!!

We had a great trip with our family, including my younger brother and his wife and my other younger brother and his girlfriend. We were very much missing my parents and my other brother who lives in Boston and couldn't make it. We had a great time. James had to go into work everyday and we were glad to see him when he came back every night!!! We had fun times at the beach and a great time at Disneyland. We got season passes since we will be living there. The kids are so excited.
Since I am not too savvy at putting pictures up all cute and don't have the time to sit and figure it out, I am just posting some of my favorites. So, here come quite a few pics of our week!!

We had quite a few water gun fights at the beach
Me and Daniel

Joseph giving boogie boarding a try

Daniel would go and sit by random people on the beach. It was so funny!

Playing with Daddy, finally, when he could play with us on Friday!

Daniel doing his random headstands in the sand. Crazy little boy!

Daniel eating a little too much sand and not loving it

Joseph idolizes my younger brother, Nate, and loved playing baseball with him on the beach. Thanks Nate!!

Cute litte Hannah, just doing her thing

Here are quite a few pictures of Joshua at Disneyland. The greatest part of the day for me was him getting picked to be in the Jedi Academy. I was trying so hard to get him picked and he was!!! He loved it and got to fight Darth Vader. In his eyes, because he is only 3, really thought he was fighting the "real" Darth Vader. It was the best!!

Say "cheese"!!

Joseph loving playing in the waves

Daniel loving playing with balls on the beach

Joshua using the ocean as a place to go to the bathroom. We didn't notice what he was doing until after he was done, the little stinker!

Tuckered out after long days of hard play!!

Daniel thoroughly enjoying his spaghetti dinner

Busy, busy baby!

My latest finding...by Daniel Jarman
While I was exploring my house the other day with no one watching me, I found the coolest stuff. It is soft, white and easy to throw and the bin was right at my level. Just how I like things. Boy, what a mess it makes! My mom calls it flour. I had so much fun and the best part was when my mom found me, she didn't get mad and even took my picture. She also took a picture of my floured footprints that were all over the upstairs. She was laughing. I am wondering what else I can find to make a mess with. This should be fun!

I'm trouble, but I'm sure cute!

Joseph has been taking piano for about 4 months and had his first recital last week. The problem was that he had a baseball game at the same time and he REALLY wanted to go to his game. James was also home this night and he has missed every game so far because of his commuting to California. So, James had the idea that if we run to his recital, ask his teacher if he can play first (wearing his baseball outfit) and explain to her why, then hurry to his game and try to make half of it. Well, that's exactly what we did and it worked out great! He played his pieces awesome and hit the baseball twice!
