"Escape" - great book

I just finished, and couldn't put down, the book "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop. Seriously one of the most amazing books I have ever read! It is a true story of this lady's life and escape from the FLDS polygamist community. I was so naive to what went in this religion. I was in tears half of the book because of the cruelty, inhumanity and abuse that goes on. It is the most corrupt thing! Anyway, if anyone wants an amazing read, I highly recommend it! It has only been out since November, and is already so popular. She is truly an amazing woman and I commend her for her courage!

Joy of a 2 year old

So, I walk into the kitchen and find Joshua stacking toilet paper rolls in a garbage can. Makes me wonder why am I giving him toys for Christmas when he can have just as much fun finding things to do with household items such as these! I'm just glad the camera was nearby. He was pretty proud of his tower he built.

Bustle of Christmas

This month has just flown by! Even though it is going fast, I still think that I have two more months of being pregnant that I honestly don't know how I am going to make it, given that I already look nine months pregnant! I have already gotten the comment from someone if I am having twins. How is that for the confidence issue? ONEiTY is going good, but takes up all of James' time! What happened to the good old 9-5 job! It is now online, which is a big step for us. YEA! I sure do love this time of year, but it is tough not having my parents around to celebrate Christmas with. The webcam will just have to do for another 2 1/2 years!

Elves at Gardner Village

We had a great time finding the elves at Gardner Village. Too bad we didn't know until the end that if you get an elf counter sheet and find all the elves, you get free hot chocolate at the bakery! Oh well. They show a live nativity which we were going to stay for, but we were all so freezing that it just wasn't worth getting frostbite over.

All I want for Christmas is my "One" front tooth...

Joseph finally lost his top front tooth that he has been wiggling for quite some time. He finally got so tired of it not coming out that he decided to got get an apple and bite it. Kind of makes ya cringe, huh? At least I did. Well, he did it and the tooth came right out! So, Joshua didn't want to miss out on any of the fun, so he got an apple out of the fridge and kept saying "My molar's coming out!" with every bite he took. Made me laugh.

Lovin' the time of Christmas!

I brought home a Gingerbread train from Germany and we made it for family night tonight. It was all we could do to keep Joshua from putting everything he could into his mouth. Half of the candy that is on was tasted by Joshua and then spit out. Yummy! I guess that is what makes part of the process so much fun.
We also started the tradition this year that I used to do with my family all years growing up of the "Last Straw". We tried it last year and the kids kind of got it, but this year I read the story to them and we picked our secret names. It was exciting for me to see them getting excited about wanting to do things for their secret person and then put a straw in the manger. Lets hope the excitement continues all through December! It is such a great story with a wonderful message.
Here is the picture of our beautiful train!
